Uniform

At Thornham St James, we recognise that the cost of living puts a great strain upon families to buy school uniform for their children. Therefore, it is not compulsory to wear uniform with the school logo, all items of Thornham St James uniform can be purchased from local supermarkets. There are options for parents to purchase branded jumpers and cardigans from our local retailer, Monkhouse in Oldham. Purchases can be made online or in the store. Ties and bookbags can be purchased from our school office via parenst pay.

Please note that the school is an inclusive school and does not stipulate what girls and boys should wear in conjunctions with human rights and the 9 protected characteristics. We are working with the uniform shop to remove the gender labelling.

Pre-loved uniform

We welcome donations of school uniform that children have grown out of, these items will then be passed on to other families free of charge. This helps everyone and is an eco-friendly way of discarding unwanted clothes. Please only donate clothes that are in good condition.
